This orchid painting has diverse hues of red, peach, cadmium red, and alizarin with accents of yellow and light peach. There's such a wide range of looks to orchids, this one just grabbed me. It is set against a soft blue sky. Originally shown Elon University's Annual Small Works Invitational, the original painting will come with a postcard from the show. The art has a realist impressionist feel.
The original painting is a 5"x7" acrylic painting on canvas panel. It is also available as 5"x7" Open Edition giclee prints and as 2.5"x3.5" Limited Edition ACEO giclee prints. The ACEO edition is limited to 25.
