This orchid painting has diverse hues of red, peach, cadmium red, and alizarin with accents of yellow and light peach. There's such a wide range of looks to orchids, this one just grabbed me. It is set against a soft blue sky. Originally shown Elon University's Annual Small Works Invitational, the art has a realist impressionist feel.
