There's something about the Greek myths that has drawn me in ever since I was a child. This piece is of the Greek goddess Athena (known to the Romans as Minerva). She has a Little Owl (Athene noctua) perched upon her shoulder. She is the godddess of wisdom and gazes upon us with watchful big brown eyes. This fantasy piece has a surreal lowbrow feel.
