It was a beautiful day in San Pedro California when I shot the reference shot for this image whilst on a harbor cruise. The sailboat was lovely, the ocean calm and gorgeous. I debated on including the metal structures in the background and decided to suggest them as reminders of the industrial nature of our world. The ocean remains one of the most beautiful places and this sailboat captured my imagination.
