Hóngsè de gou translates to red dog in Mandarin. I painted this chow chow puppy dog in honor of Chinese New Year. In the zodiac in China, people born in the year of the dog have attributes of loyalty and honesty, as I think does this puppy. The art has a realist impressionist feel.
